Each year, the Academy sends letters to educators across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands inviting them to participate in USAA's All-American Scholar Awards Program. These letters include an official Selection Form and the All-American Scholar Information and Gudelines page. Educators evaluate their students based on the standards for selection listed below. Students meeting these standards are nominated by the educator.

Standards for Selection

  • Academics - 3.3 overall G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale.
  • Students must be selected by a teacher, coach or counselor.
  • Student achievers exhibit a well-balanced schedule of academics and extracurricular activites.

Nominating Procedure

  • Record your top students on the selection form that was mailed to you or you can nominate your students right now on-line. If you are filling out the printed form and more room is needed for additional students, please record their names on a copy of the selection form, or attach your list.
  • Return the selection form to the United States Achievement Academy in the envelope provided. We will pay the postage.
  • After your nominations are received, each nominee will be sent an official student biography form notifying him/her of the award. Educators may request the forms to be mailed directly to them rather than the student so they may distribute the forms and award letters. Those wanting the forms to be mailed directly to the student must include the students' current mailing address. If school policy prohibits sharing student mailing addresses, the student biography forms and award letters are mailed to the nominator.
