The United States Achievement Academy was founded in 1978 with a mission to recognize outstanding students in America's colleges and secondary schools.

THE USAA DISTINGUISHED faculty members represent all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and are dedicated to the belief in recognizing excellence in America's outstanding students.
  • In 2005-2006, nominations were received from more than 17,400 junior and senior high schools in America.
  • Faculty members from 1,700 colleges and universities submitted nominations to the Academy during 2005-2006.
  • USAA has granted over $980,000 in scholarships.
  • More than 1.1 million secondary and collegiate educators from the United States and its territories have nominated students for the Academy's honor programs.
Each year, the Academy writes more than 2.5 million letters to faculty members across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

These letters include an official Academy Selection Form and the very important standards for selection guidelines for faculty. Educators can also nominate their students on-line (Nominate Now).
